First Lady Julia Tychinna McKee
Julia Tychinna McKee was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina in 1955 to Deacon Floyd E. Ray, Sr. and the late District Missionary Julia Ray. She was the second of five children born to this union. She was born in a Christian home being taught from birth to love and serve the Lord. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in her youth and working in many capacities at her local church. She often represented the youth of her church in State meetings.
She has been the loving wife of Pastor Robert McKee, Jr. since 1979, and is the mother of five children; Robin, Kimberly (Deacon Matthew Theisen), Alicia (Minister James Chalk), Gabrielle (Robert Lawrence, Jr.), and Robert, III (Tiffany McKee). She is also the grandmother of 9 beautiful children: Timothy Fluker, Gabriel & Gavin Lawrence, Kaiden, Mya, Kole & Knox Theisen, Eliza Chalk, and Jade McKee. Lady McKee has worked with her husband in ministry since the inception of Tabernacle of Praise in 1993. She has always been a diligent worker in the ministry serving as the Praise Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and Choir Director. Lady McKee organized the Women of Virtue ministry to nurture the spiritual and emotional needs of the women at Tabernacle of Praise.
Lady McKee is a worshipper and encourager, often standing on her favorite scripture even in the face of all adversities, in the good times as well as the challenging ones: Romans 8:28 ~ "And we know that all things work together for he good of them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
